RED, WHITE, AND BLUE SUNDAY
RED, WHITE, AND BLUE SUNDAY
As we worship God on July 6, we will have some special features to our morning schedule. We will use music and special readings in the worship service to focus on what God wants us to know about earthly governments and what our nation’s founding fathers thought about God’s role in government.
Following worship, you are invited to join us for a social time with some good food. Our Membership Ministry asks our families to bring food to share for that meal. Particularly, they request that some of our good bakers and cooks prepare red, white, and blue desserts and a batch of their favorite recipe for chicken wings. In fact, we will have a contest to decide who makes the best chicken wings. If you can catch a buffalo, you can bring buffalo wings, too.
So, plan to join us for a wonderful time of worship and celebration of America’s birthday at the fellowship hall of the Church of the Messiah. Then, stay for some good food and fellowship. And, don’t forget to invite your friends to come with you.
